This paper discloses the Biotechnological Intervention with PRP as an ideal solution for wound management
The authors have developed an innovative “STARS Therapy: Sandeep’s technique for assisted regeneration of skin”, for management of complex wounds with chronic infections, acute skin & tissue losses, diabetic & pressure ulcers etc.
The current management for such complex wound management needs huge resources running into millions of dollars per annum and includes multiple surgical intervention including skin reconstructions,drugs such as Antimicrobial agents, Analgesics, and Intense local care & dressing including negative suction therapy etc.
An ideal wound management would be to assist the natural way without further need for surgery, medicines and intense local care. A management which is accessible, affordable and bio safe.
This protocol for the first time in the history uses PRP Biotechnological Intervention as Mono-therapy for complete healing.Two Pilot studies (on 25 Patients) have been done. The results are good and shows remarkable improvement in outcomes.
It is concluded that this might be the ideal wound management where in no antimicrobial agents, analgesics, debridements and reconstructive surgeries or intense local care is required.
