Effect of Pistacia lentiscus L. fruits oil demonstrated on human skin burn was assessed by measures of diameter wound area and blister with morphological evaluation throughout the experimentation period. For a period of 9 days, different steps of burn healing were followed and assessed. Contraction of wound was measured and results were expressed as Percentage Wound Contraction (P.W.C). The first days of treatment, the wound had different diameters, and then, the wound area remained stable until healing. The loss of the internal liquid of the blister has contributed to rapid drying and detachment of dead skin significantly. Morphological assessment indicates different colors from the wound during treatment with a percentage of skin contraction which has reached 37.5% at the end of treatment. The results of this research corroborate others, obtained during the treatment of a rabbit skin burn, which also demonstrated, that the mastic oil from Pistacia lentiscus is an active agent of burn healing, without putrefaction.
